Making the most of the last days of summer, I recently visited Brinkley’s Garden in Hollywood Road for dinner to review their latest offer in partnership with Champagne Taittinger. Located in Little Chelsea, Brinkley’s Garden is part of Brinkley’s Restaurants, famous for their popular, vibrant bars; contemporary, eclectic food and sophisticated wine lists. As part of their current partnership with Champagne Taittinger, they also have a new extended outdoor area with Taittinger umbrellas, called ‘Chelsea Beach’. It was a lovely summer evening, and as you can imagine a popular destination for the locals and al fresco dining lovers. We proceeded inside to the lovely garden dining area in the back which was much calmer.
We were treated to a bottle of Taittinger Champagne alongside a sumptuous selection of sharing dishes from Olivia’s Summer Menu, which use only the freshest ingredients. We nibbled on crisp and golden pork crackling with yuzu mayonnaise and tucked into some of their recommended signature dishes such as the chicken and vegetable gyoza, deliciously hearty black rice mushroom arancini balls with truffle mayonnaise, and a beautifully seared steak fillet with potatoes and crispy fried shallots. We also shared a couple of sides of broccoli and moreish courgette fries that was accompanied by a mayonnaise dip.
Finishing off our meal on a sweet note, we shared a quintessentially British Eton Mess dessert and an extremely gooey and indulgent chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream.
Throughout the month of September between 6-9pm, Brinkley’s Garden is running an offer in partnership with Champagne Taittinger where a glass of Vintage 2013 Taittinger is the same price as a glass of Brut Réserve’.
